Alright guys [and girls!], i'm in the market for a MIG welder. I'm new to the scene, but have been doing my research. I think i've found one that should suit my needs, but would like to get your opinions/comments on it, as you all know much more about this than I do!
My purpose for buying this, and learning to weld: Build a Mild Steel tubeframe chassis for a streetlegal 'rebuilt' car. Basically, i'll be using 1/8"-1/4" [thick] square stock, as well as 1/8" [thick] round tubing.
Obviously, i'll be practicing on smaller, not so life threatening projects before i tackle this, but this is the ultimate reason for purchasing a welder in the long run. I'll probably be using it also to do more rudimentary fabrication, such as motor mounts and what not, on already-built vehicles.
The unit i'm looking at is the "Lincoln Electric Weld Pak 3200HD Wire Feed Welder"

I plan on using it with gas, as i've heard [and seen] that using the gas produces much nicer quality [and visually] welds. The box says that it can weld steel up to 5/16" thick, as well as aluminum [i dont know how much aluminum welding i'll actually be doing, so this isnt a huge factor].
Thanks in advance!!!
