I'm an independent Product Designer Maker based in Middleton-in-teesdale. My job requires me to make different items, from prototypes to finished pieces of furniture, décor, doors/gates and lighting each day. I've gotten away with my Cosmos Gasless 80 mig welder for the last five years with a few roles of tape and a small clamp holding it together which has been fine for prototyping but I'd like a welder that I can trust to feed smoothly and not fall apart. I'm probably high level hobbyist at best and know very little about welding outside me and my Cosmos + YouTube tutorials and a few professional welders asking, "how are you even welding anything with that box of scrap"...
What I'd like is a no nonsense, reliable, hard-wearing mig welder. No fancy bells and whistles just something that's really good at it's one job.
New or secondhand.
240v
30amp
£300-600.
Thanks in advance.
