Hello everyone am new to the forum my question is am after a mig welder to do some work from home like gate fencing ect and I would use the pub type gas bottles what the best I could buy for about £200-£250 new or second hand I dont want to mess about with the electric so something what will run from a ordinary 240 13 amp socket thanks in advance for your help

Just rebadged Cebora gear with improved duty cycles last time I looked, lol
At this price range its a bit of luck and trust that the new machine you buy will do the job for you. Second hand will get you a much 'better' machine with no warantee it's always a gamble. I'de buy from a local dealer who can talk you through the welder before you take it home, and is there if something goes wrong and you have to put in for warantee repair..at least there won't be any shipping or long distance phone calls to pay for.

Telwin, not Cebora.....unless they've changed very recently.

Not sure you can buy them in this country under the Telwin label. Probably some agreement with Sealey. Sealey will distribute them in this country but they will have to have our name on.
I wonder is Draper tried the same with Elora. Probably not as I'm pretty sure Elora wouldn't want the word draper on their tools

Best off looking at a GYS or something from a dedicated welding machine manufacturer if going new.
I am seeing some good bargains on the used market thoug hand and if the budget is £200 then you are slap bang in used machine territory. Ask to try before you buy as getting your money back once you've driven 100 miles round trip only to find the rectifier is toast can be tedious.
