Buying a MIG for first time.

Hey folks, i'm new to this area of expertise and i'm aiming for a career.

I'm looking to buy a machine that will allow me to practice and possibly even build my own welding table.

Its not going to be super fancy, just a surface I can use that is away from dangerous materials.

Lot's of choice out there both good and bad, the one you have shown is in my opinion a very capable machine, also a very popular one.

nothing wrong with that mig, plenty on here use them and like them. Don't forget to factor gas and consumables along with ppe into your budget

Yep I agree with all of that ,I bought one of those late last year and I like it a lot .
The gasless wire is ok ..but I think your get a better weld with gas and ordinary 0.6 or 0.8 wire
I use beer gas with my clarke cos it's very cheap here (6.50 euros) and you can't buy the disposable bottles ...go for it...jeff...

Gasless isn't much use fir anything except as a last resort when you run out gas on a Sunday night halfway through a job. Solid wire and gas is always the better option IME
