Buying a cheap rattle can to test colour (before buying 2k)?

I recently found out that Diamond white has 13 shades.

Ive already seen "frozen white" in "frozen white" and "frozen white solid" from the same supplier (ie two variants)

Is this different tones, or something else?

I do not want to clear coat my job. Im wanting it to be easily repairable / replicatable.

have you thought about going to a body shop and asking to see there colour chips of various manufacturers, that would give you a good idea, iam a bit the same i wanted red to match my mig welder for a project i was doing, turned out it was pillar box red but had a hell of a time trying to find the code for it ,until i found out vauxhall did it under a different name.

trouble is, i want to diy, so it would be kind of rude pestering someone at work, when im not going to put any work their way!
