Hi Everybody, i have a very old Autoweld 2 or 240. I have had the side covers off to check it over and replace the mains cable. Despite its age the machine works very well and I would like to continue using it, so preventative maintenance is the order of the day.
I have found this , see photo, the one on the right, appears to have melted and let go of the stud.
Am i right in thinking it is an insulator block? of so what would be a suitable material to turn one out of in the fading hope of finding an exact replacement.
The second idea is to fit a cooling fan inside, if i do this which components would be the best to direct airflow at.
Many thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
