butters autoweld 130

Hi, I want to learn to weld!!! while discussing this with a retired friend he said he might be selling a welder he bought new over 15 years ago but never used. Partially buried it has autoweld 130 on it and i understand it's probably a Butters. I know there is a tutorial, it's also been suggested that a couple of hours practice will have me welding with more practice improving me. I've been told that MIG is easiest to pick up.
Sadly he can't find the instructions, so...
is it self explanatory, does anyone have instructions to sell or copy, is it a good welder for me (I am going to be a hobby welder repairing car bits and making gate latches, brackets, handy things etc!)?
Any suggestions or help grratefully received.

I think the Butters are recognised as a decent machine, manuals can usually be found with plenty of Google searching.

It would be best to seek local help for the setting up and getting started with a few runs and helpful tips, after that its a case of practice.

post up a picture see if someone has one the same or similar most features are similar on the older migs check to see if there is any wire in it and if it's rusty dont use it you can try to remove so of the wire uncoiling it but do not let go of the end if you find good wire under the rusty might be ok all the best welcome to the forum
