Butters Astor 160 ACDC

I've said in several previous threads that I rate Butters very highly as machines and as a company. The problem I had with my mig was my own doing, constantly exceeding the duty cycle causing the machine to fail. They were very helpful to me when I needed some assistance.
The simple fact that Butters honoured the warranty on Geowhitts tig after alterations had been made stands them in good stead in my books, can't imagine many other companies doing the same.

I have only dealt with Butters in a professional capacity through companies I have worked for and have been very happy with machines and backup they provide.
Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

butters is good

butters is a good machine, i weld everything from alloys to steel, it works well and nothing breaks, i can't complain, i weld my electric bikes and rickshaws and it really helps me out in business

Its now over 12 mths with my butters welder and i have used it only about 6 times.
A few weeks ago it stopped working i tried to get hold of Butters but i had no joy.
So i got in touch with the firm i bought my first one from, they said just send it back and they would have a look at it so of it went.
I received a email saying that the main board was dead and that Butters had gone bust.
Anyway to cut a long story short the firm sent me a new welder which i was very pleased about that.
I did speak to them and they were very helpfull over this matter so hats off to them.
The new welder is the same make and power but a newer model and works very well i just hope it lasts a bit longer than the first one.
So all in all still happy with it.
A big thanks to the shop i bought it from for all there time and help.

interesting thread, customer service that goes way too far IMHO, but nice to see things sorted.
