Burrs for a die grinder

Been looking at carbide burrs - I see cheap to the sky is the limit.

Anyone got some advice on what's reasonable out there. Mainly will be using them for taking down welds in areas the grinder can't get to.

Do I need different cut types, I think the diamond pattern is less aggressive?

Garryson. Ebay has them and usually not a bad price. Five to ten quid for all but the most fancy shapes on a 6mm shank.

I've just got some Pferd ones. Aluminium specific. They're excellent. Not cheap though. I got a heavily discounted rate and they were still over £20 a piece. Dearest was £27.

I tried the cutwel ones a while and they are also very good, cut smoothly with no chatter and crispy sharp as you can typical get with some brands, plus they do smaller shank sizes also. A reasonably price point i think considering the quality plus they will also talk cookie on the price if you are spending enough.

Sankvic are about the best out there in the cutting tool world..... if you can afford the price.

Yeah no doubt the sandvic ones are brilliant but probably way more than I want to spend.

So Garryson or those at cutwel look good prices if they work fine.

Chatter and bouncing I want to avoid as much as is practically possible, I have golfers elbow most of the time and a chuff pinch problem on my shoulder too that needs a op sooner or later.Would it be best to stick to crosscut diamond cutting teeth on them or is that really slow stock removal, does it even reduce chatter/bouce/vibrations. Just want to give my arm as light vibs as possible.

I have several burrs i have had over the years and I personally think the cutwel ones have been the best i have used. All be it I'm not an animal when i use any tools, so if that helps I'm not sure. You know this anyway being as you are a mold maker, but the tool you have to drive the burrs makes a difference also. I can't see you not getting your moneys worth out of the cutwel ones. Not everything they do is perfect but generally its good value for money and the quality is good to very good generally. I can't tell you what cuts i bought as im not at the works today. Their tech help isnt bad so give them a shout.

Looking at the price of the garrison ones i find it hard to think you would not get good value if you went down the cutwel route. I know several on here use them as one of their main ports of call for tooling. Some of the milling tooling is pretty exceptional at times.
