Wow that looks boss, I so wish I had the talent and tools to make something like this.
What are those forks? Marzochi Bombers?

Forks are RockShox Boxxers reduced to 145mm travel.

I didn't think I had the talent, I just went for it. I made the tools myself too. To be fair I did do a lot of homers at work, used the machines etc. I don't think I would have been able to make the Jig and notcher without that privilege mind...

No, a lovely piece of work, but you are being a bad influence on me. For years I have fancied building a nice recumbent tandem using chromo tubes. Mitring has always been the stalling point, then I saw the Frost tube notcher, another excuse out of the window. have started doing dodgy sketches of a mid wheelbase tandem, front wheel under the drivers knees, stokers feet under the drivers bum and under seat steering.

But simpler, four chains? are they mad.

First I have to pluck up courage to sell my lovely Dawes tandem to finance the build, maybe a winter project........

Steep fork angles? Steep maybe for you but that is at least 5 degrees slacker than any other mountainbike hardtail out there.
Recumbent tandem would be awesome! let me know if you want any help!!

Burf, I love it. Well done thats a fine looking bike. How slack is slack, I'm at 67.5 deg with 20% sag on a set of Pikes, looks slacker than that.

Where did you source your plain gauge from?

Whats is ride like?

I like the seat stays, are they chain stays. You certainly aren't afraid of some pretty complex mitres and welding positions.

Yeah it feels awesome!
Got 2nd place in hardtail class at a local DH race the other weekend. 10th overall.
So she is a pretty fast steed!
I'v build a second one now, larger frame to fit me better, much better!
