Bumper repair to my E34

Hello guys,

I thought I would share with you what I've been up to. My previous owner had scraped the plastic bumper of my car when they had it and had gone too close with a steam cleaner and pulled the paint off it. So with filler, spray cans and a lot of preparation the before and after photos are below. I am very happy with it and impressed at how well it went as it was my first time on car body work (mainly used to spraying vintage tractors)!

The paint supplier gave me the wrong shade of Calypso Red (actually called Royal Red):

That is a nice job. I had a E34 B10 alpina and the front spoiler chin sat 50mm from the ground, so after cracking it twice and repairing it, I finally got used to bmw plastic bumpers and god there hard to paint at times, then I learned its all in the prep with plastic bumpers, the more time you put into the prep, the better it will look. Pretty obvious I know, but it cost me a lot of time and money in paint to realise it.
