Does anyone know of somewhere I can get a decent price on fast setting post mix?
Sick of paying near a fiver a bag at b&q so if there's a deal out there to get a large quantity delivered.....

Can't you make your own with sand / gravel mix plus fast setting cement ?

Can't you get a B&Q trade card? Wickes are generally cheaper too. Also, ring Jewsons or similar as although they are incredibly expensive normally, if you need a quantity they will normally do a deal.

Get some quick set and some aggregate and mix your own.

Check with local independent builders merchants too, one of my local ones beats most on products like that.

Local fencing Co sells all the components to make / repair fences and panels etc, posts and 25kg bags "postcrete" at "trade" prices - may be worth an ask around.

Builders merchant but start up a proper account or trade card. These people want to look at what you buy and if it's growing or shrinking etc. Forget ticket prices especially if you buy a lot of something in particular

They will do a post mix for you, dry, semi dry or wet.

Their price is based on weight and distance. But they did say they will match or beat a quote. But they seam to suggest that they could do a mix and you could collect some.

Might be an idea to enquire at you local ready mix place.

As it happens were kind of sorted the problem now.
We had to fit approx 130ish of those green mesh panel railings that you see round schools, we weren't used to pre made fiddly clips that come in the kit so we started off...dig a post, fast set cement it...wait 5 min then fit the rail...which was slow going.

After about two days we realised that the kit system is a bit more forgiving and the post don't have to be fitted with millimetre accuracy, so we started putting rows of posts in with a dry mix tamped down and fitting the rails the day after...much quicker, we've only got about 20 left to do☺
