Bulk buy cutting discs.

I am after bulk buying say 100 115mm slitting discs.
I normally use the thin ones, 1mm or 0.8mm? which do we prefr?
Looked on fleabay and there are loads of names I am not familiar with I have heard of Bluespot and they seem affordable at £41.00 per 100. but the packaging looks cheap as Silverline biscuits.
Can anybody reccomend a supplier?

Bluespot is junk. We buy 1.0mm, 0.8mm is starting to get a bit thin for me!

Try a pucker 'walk in' welding supplier for those quantities Chunkolini, internet prices are not always the best.

For a few pennies more per disc you could buy some decent branded ones, I've just bought 100 off 3m ones 115 x 1mm inox for 44p each delivered from my regular "proper" welding supplier, could probably have improved on that if I tried harder, I rarely buy welding equipment of the net its often junk, and sometimes dearer than a decent trade supplier.

I bought my last batch so long ago I cant recall who they came from

SparkPlug, that will do nicely, Dronco are a good named brand and not too pricey.

There's a few of us who club together to get a bit of buying power behind us and usually buy around 1000 at a time of the 1mm it's amazing how the price drops when your buying that many. We tend to shop around and ring a dozen or so companies and see who can give us the best deal

I thought it was the Bluespot ones that were rubbish not Blueline? I've always found SIA abrasives to be very good

I much prefer the 0.8mm ones, noticably faster cutting than the 1mm, the 0.7mm flexovits are the dogs danglies but pricey per disc.

Trago mills generally has bosch ones at 50p each. I suspect thats only good for west country folk though...

Blueline is a range of disc's and abrasives by SIA nothing to do with blue spot.

I find there is always deals on flexovit on the bay.

I splashed out on a box of flexovit 1mm discs, they certainly last longer than the soggy Aldi specials I was using before.

I've also found 3m cubitron to be superb. The kennedy discs aren't bad either. Usually the bloke in cromwells will sort me a good deal.

The other thing to remember when buying in bulk, don't leave them all outside in the shed, they do go down hill if any moisture get to them. I keep the belts for my belt grinders in a plastic box in the house with a pack of desicant in it. Just leave as many as you think you will need out there.
