Bunch of wanna be hoodlums, yous lot, prob end up like Bonnie & Clyde.. but peppered with gear teeth..Along with one of these?
I was following this thread because my little tractor is inclined to make the odd noise when engaging gears, but sounds like I should leave it and be careful.
When I learned to drive, BMC cars had no syncro on 1st and after a while, not a lot on 2nd, this was pre baulk ring (Porsche) syncro, so double de-clutching went with the job.
'Bout 1980 I on was on a trip gathering antiques for our shop. Bloke asks if I liked old cars? Showed me a 1930 Chrysler, tatty but original, ran OK, but the owner couldn't find tyres for the artillary wheels. Think he was asking £300... But I had no facilaties at the time and plenty of other things to
do. One of many missed gold mines (possibly..)
When I used to shoot, I kept my 12 in a violin case. Caused a few raised eyebrows on 'proper' shoots. On a train once, passenger says that he plays one, what do I have? I cracked the case open. Look on his face would have been worth a bit if I had a camara..
