and then put the battery in the kids gameAnd batteries removed from the smoke alarms so there not disturbed while toasting there breakfast.
Id be far more concerned with dodgy wiring and overloaded sockets.
So many houses I see with multi cubes plugged in and usually an extension lead plugged into it too.
If you think that's bad dont think about your gas supply that can blow you to the next life with a flick of your lightswitch
But at least the Stench is added to gas - well, mine anyway...
I don’t know anything about building regs are fire safety
But let’s be sensible about this, in the average house, carpets - flammable, sofas etc - flammable, soft furnishings - flammable, wooden flooring etc - flammable, doors, skirting etc - flammable, floor joist and other construction timber - flammable. Wall paper and paint - massively flammable and will aid surface propagation of flames
So in the real world does a bit of paper underlay really change the risk profile in the average home ?
Im not expert on the matter as this isn't my normal bag, but I think that nothing is ever non flammable when considering soft furnishings etc in a domestsic settingI thought a lot of furnishings had to be non flammable nowerdays, sofa’s that sort of thing?
I have been considering flammability whilst considering the build next year of my manshed, do I build it in single skin concrete block, then clad the outside using cedral planks, or wood frame it and use some kind of fire retardant paint on the inside, I have been used to concrete in the past, wood only used for storage, the floors and first 80cm will need to be block, as it needs set into a soil bank on 3 sides.
