Building a soakaway

We had to deal with drainage on a job that was in clay, as there was little to no chance of a soakaway ever working we fitted a rainwater harvesting system. Might be worth a look as they are not that expensive and will save a few quid on garden water usage.

Chris if you dial in enough capacity in a water harvesting tank its acceptable for the overflow to run into the sewer, not sure of the overcapacity needed but a few of the ones we have done have been like this. These can also be integrated with greywater systems, stops the garden dying off when there are hosepipe bans

I don't get a pond at the bottom of my garden in the winter anymore.
