Budget Insurance and Spam

nearly 48 hours and still not bombarded with spam, maybe yours was from a dirrerent source

or they didnt like his email addy name

So what's the actual deal? Did you definately check the 'don't contact me' box (or uncheck it if they configured it the other way round) or was there not one? Just been through car insurance renewal (1/10) with the daily and received zero spam from the various companies i got quotes from- received one email for each quote and most of 'em typically send another mail about 11 months later when it's time to renew again

My gmail account that i use for this sort of thing has never been properly spammed, my ISP email account (that i never use) on the other hand gets all sorts of weird nonsense

It came about because my Daughter had changed her car, we phoned Budget and told them we needed a copy of the new cert to tax the vehicle.

They offered to email it and I gave them my private addy... end of story and start of spam.

Slowly sorting it...my mail settings can have key words such as PPI, no win no fee etc blocked.

Have also added this weeks batch to my blocked senders list, only 3 spam today.

I have my own domain, and have used the same ISP for hosting it, for the last 18 yrs , over the last yr or so they have almost stopped all spam into the domain, when at one time we were getting thousands a day

I thought of doing similar but having recently changed providers I have a new sterile addy..will be very selective on giving it out.
