At least 2 of my lathes came from them originally.

It's not even a real offer of a free sample - it's a 'chance to receive' which means that only some will get it.
All the one that don't are now on the B&H email spamming list.

That's cruel - an equally effective one, especially at 'yoof 'parties is cling film stretched tight over the pan, then put the lid down. No skin harmed in the making of that 'prank'.....

My sample arrived today, decent sized trial size at 11g.

Coincidently, I'll have a purpose for test later today, so will report later, when the 'project' is done. If it does all it says 'on the tin' it'll be brilliant.

Re the above, I ended up using some Araldite 'Extreme' 5-minute setting stuff I had. Worked a treat and I could lift the conch lamp up with the thick oak base attached, so strong enough for this application anyway. Still have the Loctite to look forward to now....
