yea no brushes to wear or burn out on brushlessBrushed or brushless, I've never really been fussed one way or the other, but just wondered if there are any compelling virtues to brushless over brushed?
far betterBrushed for me, it's much easier sweeping the workshop floor than with just a stick.

Not significant enough to replace serviceable tools though.
Currently trying to talk myself out of buying a couple of brushless units. One is a brushless version of a unit I already have. Willpower is only just holding up these last couple of days though.

I know I'm having one of those want, rather than need, sessions. Hoping you lot can ground me.

Brushless would be safer if there's a risk of flammable fumes as there's no sparking from brushes (so for me that would be for working around cars). I do recall reading that brushless is a better option for impact type tools as it can be tough on brushes, so impact drivers and wrenches.Brushed or brushless, I've never really been fussed one way or the other, but just wondered if there are any compelling virtues to brushless over brushed?
