need a bit of help on finding a new spring for the inlet valve of my compressor. havnt had it long but when runing it just didnt sound right, could hear the valves clacking a bit too loudly. so striped the head and took it to work to bead blast the years of encrusted muck out of it, stuff was like concrete!
anyway, found this -
can see in the top valve the spring seems to be snaped in half, so im assuming this is were the valve noise was coming from. also the valve plates are quite pitted, could maby lap them in but prefere new ones.
so far i havnt been very succesfull in finding spares for this compressor-
if anyone knows of a good place to source spares from it would be much apprectiated!
also there was a thick (~2mm) home made looking gasket between head and case, not been around comressors for a while but should there actauly be a gasket there? wont it affect the bump clearance to have something that thick? or should it just be a thin bit of gasket paper or copper
