    Hello everybody.

I'm looking for anybody able to help me finding a way to fix my welder. Bought it from marketplace but as a trusty person didn't check it. It appears that previous owner dropped it, and as a result cooling fan fell on rectifier causing short circuit.

Now welder turns on but is constantly in overheated mode (led is on) and there's no action from the wire feeder or nothing. Changed burned fuse on pcb but with no luck. No visible frying marks on PCB. All diodes on rectifier seems intact. Has anybody dealt with similar issue before?

Thank you and happy 2019 for everybody.

Welcome to the forum, there are a couple of guys here who have a decent knowledge of electric wotsits but I am not one of them.

Hopefully once they recover from the seasons hangovers and we get back to normality they may be along with advice.

My concern is faulty machines on ebay are usually listed after someone has had a look at them and the repair cost is greater than the value...hopefully yours is not that bad.

    Hi,

So the fan doesn't spin after turning on, will check if it gets any power at all when have a chance. Also will try to measure powers inside to trace the current.

I bought it straight from the guy on FB, so makes me thinking there might be slight chance of repairing it (but makes me even more idiot for not checking it out properly) :D

    Regards
    Piotr.
