Brickhouse dudley man hole cover

Been gifted this cast manhole cover but I'm struggling to find out what weight it will take, any clever folks seen or used these?

No real idea, but a guess, not much more than footway. Cover looks cast & the frame very light.

With the in-built safety coefficient, you should be good for about 400 tons +/-

that drain cover is only for light use not for a car or lorry its too thin

i have a couple on my drive and a 10tone load tipper and a skip wagon has ran over them the pressed steel krap buckles with just a car

As I've got to chop some concrete out to set it in I'm thinking I might go heavier, we often have tractor/trailer combos in which can be quite weighty

Funny how you get reminded of things. I did a stint doing deliveries in a 7.5 tonner. Getting into a school was a difficult one but there was a gravel drive to another gateway. I got there and the gate wasnt quite wide enough to get the lorry through, but there was a turnaround, which I backed into, and then had the drivers side front drop down about a foot. There was a manhole cover covered by the gravel.
Luckily because I was on full lock it hadn't dropped down as much as it could have, and I managed to Scrabble my way up and out of it.

Needless to say I got out quick.

It's a b125 cover suitable for light traffic.
Typically would be driveway or pavement specification

its a pedestrian cover used on driveways but as in between either wheels

would not advise a car driven over it
