Cheers. Getting a quote from Inverfab. Note 1.5 hour round trip, so ‘your local’ is a relative term

Plastic an option, but wife is not too pleased that the brewery is being installed in the main entrance. Trying to make it look a bit fancy. Smiley face drawn on the beer fridge was not reflected in hers.

If you need to keep the other half happy that changes everything, it wouldn’t cost much to have coloured glass splash backs made to size and she could pick any colour she likes, probably a couple of hundred quid

It allows you to use up all the surplus Baby oil that you bought in anticipation of other uses though.

WD40 also does it, it smells nice as well. Not much use for anything else though.

This is the 'stainless' steel bin in our bathroom. Gets splashed from the sink and always looks manky.

Wall behind sink is clad in plastic panels and is very easy to keep looking clean.

The stuff we used is hollow in the middle like corrugated cardboard and came in 10' by 12" strips. Slots together like t&g flooring. Secured to the wall with dabs of mastic. Our walls were not level so they were ply lined first.

If you want it to look nice s/s is not the right choice. It is quite hard to keep it looking nice despite the name!

I hate the stuff when it's used for food prep areas. If it's polished it soon scuffs up if you aren't gentle with it. If it's brushed it hides any airborne cooking fats/oils and looks manky if you don't keep on top of it.
