I was looking around for brazing rods for Tig at bargain prices (didn't find any) but came across "Sifcupron 17" at zoro for a really silly price, less than £30 delivered for 2.5kg.
They state that uses are: copper to copper or brass, oxy fuel process, not suitable for steel. 93%copper, 7% phosphorus.
I bought some cos they are cheap and don't contain zinc so thought I would have a go with Tig.
So, they worked fine on copper to copper, had a go with copper to steel, also worked fine (pics to follow).
Main benefit for me is joining copper to steel without having the usual yellow joining metal.
Anyway, I ordered more yesterday which will arrive anytime now.
If you want some you need to be quick as the price has gone up since yesterday and they are a clearance line so I expect they are finishing them as a product line , the pack I already received were very dusty
