Agreed, I should think a sleeve would be required. That's a goner IMO.
show us a piccy after you have brazed it be interesting to see and who will rebore it as it has chrome cylinders you saidWhat, no JB Weld, hahahah
Seriously, what's the prob with brazing it up. It's halfway down the bore where there is minimal combustion pressure to load it
Combustion pressure isn't the issue. What, no JB Weld, hahahah

Flipping predictive text. Should be ‘rebore and ‘touch’.If it’s a Nikasil bore then we do’t reborn them as it would go through the plating. It’s very hard and a carborundum hone won’t tough it, you need a diamond hone. That pitting is very deep so as everyone has advised, put a new liner in.
Do it!Got a corrosion ridge, 2mm deep around the cylinder, half way down.
Cylinder is CI and chrome plated. Any chance of cracking when using the BBQ for preheat?
Trying to avoid a re-sleeve...
What's the melting point of brass, as opposed to combustion chamber temp at full chat on a diesel engine?Do it!
We could all do with a laugh!
