brass swarf and resin casting

I think it'll be safe to 50psi.
there's a bloke on utube who uses one at 60psi without issues.
it can't be any less safe than plastic pipe...

We get 80psi in 2L fizzy drinks bottles and apparently they will take 120psi so I would guess you'll be fine.

today's experiments:

plaque cast from cheap opaque roofing resin, but using windsor+newton inks.
needs to be about 10% ink, by weight. 3% catalyst, 22c ambient temperature. cures ok



second test.

clear casting resin. 3% catalyst. 22c.

1% windsor+newton ink. it started off purple(plum) but fades horribly as it cures.

something else i learned: foamcore modelling board melts/dissolves with the polyester resin.

I reckon a translucent "black" resin with some of my alloy swarf might look (subjectively) good.

How much of it can I send you? : )

*I say subjectively, as I'm not a fan of any of the resin work, much as I try to like it : (
