I have got a commercial potato peeler.
Drum with a turntable in the bottom.
Turntable goes round and round spinning spuds.
The turntable and the sides are covered with some sort of abrasive, about the same grade as roofing felt.
There are 2 pieces on the sides and one if them has come off/fallen apart. I'm thinking of stripping it all off and redoing the lot.
I found a place selling relining kits, basically some thixotropic adhesive and some 24g alumina grit, reasonable price, looks like you just put a layer of the glue on then cover it in grit, let it set.
They also sell the same stuff for recoating brake rollers.
The original parts do not look like they are done this way, they look more like they would have been supplied as an adhesive backed sheet?
Before I buy one of the kits and get covered in it I thought I would ask if anybody knows of any sort of adhesive abrasive sheets that would be rough & tough enough for this job?
