I had some brake pads fitted a few years ago in the car. The place that fitted them should have known the fit was too tight-even with the copper grease.
I ended up removing them, and doing quite a bit of filing to the metal edges. Only then did they fit well enough to move freely enough when braking. I think they were an unnown brand.
The front ones will need changing this year, and I shall do the job myself, even though I don't like messing with cars.
Other than buying from Toyota, are reputable brands usually a good fit, and what is your experience of this sort of thing?
