Brake hose worn!

With MOT on Wednesday... I dont know if this hose part is even available!? Not currently leaking

Scary stuff! I dont believe this is a result of recent accident and driving home. It is worn on both sides which looks to me that it has happened over many thousands of miles, caused by incorrect assembly
Any ideas?

Think it comes as one big assembly, dont think it can be assembled wrong as the bolt on lugs are fixed to the hose unless its been fitted on the wrong side?

Issue with the steering bump stops if it has them?

That looks like mechanical damage, suspension on full compression has caused the hose to contact the fixing bolt above.

Edit: If it's not available run a hard line from the calliper to the bracket on the suspension leg and then a short flexible to the body bracket.

I'd guess at it being fitted to the wrong side with the tightness of the bends

Looks like it's been rubbing on the brake pipe nut and that upper bolt as the wheel moves up and down?
It doesn't look like they can be fitted incorrectly.
It will (or should) fail the MOT.

That'll probably be the same.
Both fitted on the wrong side.....

The other side bends the other way and no problems by feel, tho havent had the wheel off to check.

It had better fail!

I've done brakes hoses on bikes but cars are a different beast.

A well equiped mot garage should be able to sort it same day? I'll let them know in advance.

I dont mind paying, even if its painful, but I need car back on the road ASAP.

It's a Mazda of some sort, it says so on the bottom wishbone.

I'm wondering if I have previously had that bracket off and accidently put a twist in the brake hose when doing the pads.

Either way, are local parts suppliers able to get one?

I also notice the suspension bump stop? Appears to be fitted upside down? If that is what it is?

While on tbe subject, I was primarily looking to see how bad the panel is bent from accident and if anything underneath has damage.

Looks straight to me?

I tried to bend the wing out however it now rubs on the door, I'll have to get it off and replaced with the new one, hopefully then the door and bonnet gaps will be back to normal.

Using pages of an old phone book or catalogue between the door and the wing it’s possible to “adjust” the clearance quickly and easily, just put enough pages in the gap and gently open and close the door
