Hi - I'm looking to paint my brake calipers on my C63 (performance car (470bhp) so resistance to heat is very important, I don't track the car or anything).
I am struggling to find a marketed caliper paint in yellow that I like, so going down making it but don't know enough.
Went to an auto paint shop, guy recommend this attached 2K Tint Base paint he can give as is, or mix it with something to make it as a base coat so it dries quicker, he can give this in a spray can or brush paint, my garage wants it in spray. And then I can apply ProMatic High Temperature Clear coat spray to make it heat resistant. Google has this coating being heat resistant to 800 centigrade.
So what are your thoughts on this route? Would that top spray being heat resistant protect the paint underneath?
I'm very new to this so simple terms / low jargon would be appreciated.
Thanks
