So i need to make some brake caliper brackets to fit some porcshe 4 pots to my project car. The size discs i want to run these cannot be bought off the shelf, so i need to make some.
The calipers are radial mount so will have 4 holes in them 2x at 94mm centres and on the other 'side' 2x at 130mm centres.
The thought i had is to use bright steel bar - it needs to be 50mm square, so pretty hefty, so would it be ok to use the mild steel bar, or something more exotic, i cannot seem to find any 7075 T6 which would be ideal i guess, i dont want to buy masses of it as i only need about 400mm length of it.
Any ideas?
Cheers
