Box section garage

hi guys Iv created a good space in my yard for a reasonable size shed/garage, was thinking of making my own using box section, I'm pretty handy with a welder and steel can be easily enough, has anyone on here ever made one?

its something that i had considered for my nephew to build so if they moved they could take it with them

and use seperate posts in the ground if the above is taken into consideration if planned right you could leave the ground spikes in the ground

as goes for how big it is even the crappy ones only use angle iron and box section for the corners

just one major problem with them they drip like hell so insulation type ones are better for walls and also for the roof

I would generally agree with Gaz, but disagree on the erection method, I would use chemical anchor and studding to anchor it and make it a bolt together unit.

You can get SIPS panels which come as an insulated sandwich with an outer skin of metal in various finishes which are quite slippery and easily cleaned, a variety of insulating cores of differing thicknesses to meet differing "U" values for insulation, and a variety of different inner lining materials ranging from wood sheet to various plasterboards.

I looked at it, but then I looked at how much quicker, easier and cheaper it is to make one from wood. Made properly they can be designed to be taken apart and transported easily.

Better of with a fridge box insulated as well, plus if you chose the right location you can hire a lorry to "Lift n Shift" it the including contents in one go....

Something along those lines, but use concrete screw anchors (M12 - M18 should suffice). These can be removed easily and just leave a hole , rather than a stud that needs to be cut off / ground down. I use these on all my temporary jobs now. Fill the holes with non shrink grout after
