Bottle query

Hi there

Today i found an old BOC bottle in the back of my old grandads unit (sold up 3 years ago) i took it to a hss hire shop and paid 39quid to swap for a filled one. I understand BOC only rents bottles well this bottles been hidden away for years.

I didnt get asked any questions at all when i swapped the bottle. Am i gonna be ok?

What size? What gas?

I've got a BOC pub-size bottle from an independent supplier, one-off payment and a charge per exchange.

If HSS gave you a receipt you'll be OK.

Thats what i thought if i had a spare bottle lying around why not use it...

My bottle is a size X and its argonshield. Yeah i got a receipt from HSS and like i said they didnt say anything to me at all. Does this mean i dont pay no rent? My grandad hasnt paid anything for years as he sold up years ago this was just a bottle lying around

Thats what i was thinking. I just thought id ask the question as i was curious.

All i gotta do now is learn to weld using this machine ive only ever used tiny welders and this mac tools one is rather powerful
