Bosch ve pump top broken, still work?

Unfortunately I've had a damage in transit on a pump I sent to someone, was just a spare off an engine from a few years ago.

I've asked for it to be returned, they wanted to keep it.

IIRC it's just the rubber diaphragm that seals to the top right?
So if I can get the broken peice attached back on it should be good as a spare

So long as the diaphragm seals then yes it will work, you will soon know if if dont as it will be as flat as a wet fart once the revs start to rise.
