I suspect electrical stuff/emissions related tat will be the bigger issue for keeping modern cars on the road long enough for them to become 'old cars'. Mate of mine scrapped a perfectly good Vauxhall something or other a few years back because of an ignition switch, couldn't get a used one as they're a one time only coded to this and that deal and a new replacement would've cost several times the cars value. BrokenInteresting reading especially about the lack of protection due to not being able to galv because of heat affect! Think this material will make some home repairs more challenging in the future as these become the "old cars" in need of a patch.
