Boot hinge pin replacement

Hi, I've bought some 2nd hand boot hinges for my tr7 as well they've have the gas strut attachment, my original doesn't.
However, there's a fair bit of play in the hinge point & I'd like to repair it.
I've been looking for a couple of days now but can't find anything suitable? It looks like a hollow rivet with a wave washer between.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Does it have to look original at the end ,, if not a low profile allen head bolt from the back , the two metal arms re drilled to what ever size and a short bush put in ideally a top hat shape and a metal lock nut would look tidy .

Easy repair if you have the tools. Machine a new oversized pin from a hi tensile cap head bolt.
Drill out old pin a size to suit new one.
Insert new pin and heat the end with oxy fuel torch until red. Hammer over then end and leave to cool.
Repaint and job done.

Or do as above but leave the drill in place and just cut it off. Good way if you can't find or make a pin.
