That's the most powerful. It's a miniature engine compared with Kempton.

Kempton Steam Museum is a good place to visit, they have a pair of thousand ton triple expansion engines, look at the guys in white boiler suits for scale!

that isnt a museum piece, it should be in an art gallery its a thing of beauty.

this week I've decided that I needed to run my Stuart No.10H engine. I made this 25 years ago and its been stuck in a cupboard and hasn't run since. When I bought my Hobbymat lathe all those years ago, I decided that I needed to make something to learn how to use it, so I bought this engine to make. All the machining was done on the lathe and pillar drill, and my workshop was a shed that was 5ft square.

so here it is running at about 100 rpm on compressed air

got to say its educational learning how to use a lathe for not just making round things and how versatile they are.

now I've got an urge to build a model steam engine with boiler, so that might be a winter project for next year, and volunteering at the local industrial museum too,
