Well first of all, I have to say a massive thanks to Stan (ford34/2) for his generosity and hard work in making up this threaded bar with the mystery thread, which turned out to be 1" Whit in the end. A true Gentleman, Stan turned up the bar and sent it off to me and wouldn't even accept any money for the postage! Thanks Stan, I owe you one!

A few pics, starting with Stan's threaded bar, trimmed with flats, the cone, Stan's bar in the anvil, and finally the finished item. I'm not sure how to label the pics as I don't see any tags or code in the preview window, so you'll have to work that bit out for yourself!

Anyone have any ideas what the original use for the cone might have been?

is the cone Solid steel?, worth weighing it in, what is it, what was it-- not a clue, however whats it going be now??
