Boiler juice?

Has anyone used this company before for heating oil? Need to fill up, I have only ever used butler fuels and gift before, butler are currently 54.18ppl, Geoff are 46.22ppl, came across this company and its 44.88ppl, this is for 500 litres.

I thought places like Boiler Juice are just group buyers and they need enough people in your area to make the deal worthwhile. You would save £6 going with them.

I filled ours last in March at 30ppl, it had been 24p in February which is unusual. I generally stick with one supplier, I still check prices though. Even on 1200L the price variation of 1-2p isn't worth stressing about. When there is a shortage a company who you always use if far more likely to get you some fuel. We use a smaller company who nearly always have the shortest delivery time and they always ring to say they are coming so they get the business.

The way to get the best deals sound obvious but is buy it when you don't need it, I appreciate you need a decent sized tank to make that work

We've just started buying oil and have ordered 500 litres based on a quote that came via the above.

We used them at work once when somebody (me) forgot to check the tank and we ran low. Price was ok and it turned up on time. Delivery was by a local oil supplier who told me they could have done it cheaper and just as fast if it was ordered directly with them.

These buying groups have to make something somewhere, you would be better getting together a group of neighbours and arranging a full lorry load in the local area. The reality is the margins are pretty tight, yes you always get one that are way out of line with others but most are pretty close.

Boiler juice is a comparison site, stick in your post code, how much you want and it finds the best price from local suppliers. You don't need to be part of a consortium or group to use them.

It may only be a few pounds cheaper but a saving is a saving.

If you can wait until your tank is almost empty, it's a bit cheaper to get 800+ litres. I have stove back-up so I run the tank down as low as I can. I put in about 900 litres a couple of months back and there was a worthwhile saving (2 or 3 pence a litre).

Goff are the cheapest when I ring round, they usually match or better the lowest quote. I have never tried boiler Juce.

I found the local farm supplier cheapest this time. Boiler juice price drips if you go for a longer delivery, basically they just use other suppliers to deliver for them and take a cut.

My advice ring round and dont want it asap....

I've used Boilerjuice for the last few years. Very easy and straightforwards. I did experiment with other suppliers but they were a nightmare with paperwork and timing.

In fact I have 2300 litres on order at the moment, due 'before 13/01/2017' which was the cheapest option. Three individual tanks and three boilers here, so this is just a 'top up'
