wanna know what the cost would be on it, i'm guessing new sills, pull it out abit sort the pillars out, new wing, door maybe what ever else on the inside.

just a rough cost on what it could cost, i'm telling her it's a waste of time but shes not having it

i would be more worried about the frame then the door. is this car close to you? i would have a look at it and how much damage it's has. i have a friend that got a car that had this kind of impact on it and it was worthless (the motor was fine tho.). but if all it needs it a door and a little body work it may be worth it.(depending on how much the cost of the car, repairs and time.)

I'd suggest going to have a look at it as well.

Definitely going to need new door and wing but check the dashboard inside as well. From the looks of things that may have taken a whack and be split/cracked etc

Don't think that it's going to be a cheap fix. Time you've replaced and painted the panels (could be a bugger to colour match that as well) it would probably be no cheaper than buying a similar car without the damage.

Hi,

it's difficult to tell but it looks from the rear view that the roof is slightly down so the middle pillar may be bent too.

If you go to look at it, check out the gaps around the bonnet, passenger door and hatch. You're looking for gaps to be the same distance all around. If the body is twisted then it may show up this way.

TBH I'd say at that age you could probably do better buying a straight one from an auction.

But if you could get a second-hand door, say, £50, new wing, say, £30, new rear pannel, say £80, new sill say, £20...all guesses (it's been a year or two since I bought any panels and then it was for a Ford!), then you could have a bit of fun with it.

i was thinking that, but it's fairly cheap and the missus likes the car and the colour!!!!!!

but it also depends how much damage it's done to the floor pan as it's pushed it up etc.

i'm guessing the driver didn't get out in one peice, looks like the pillar A has gone in, i'm tempted to get another one n have it resparyed

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. Looks like major structural damage. Might not be an allowable repair if it was categorised. Looks like a B or C to me. If it was the modern body shop would cut out and replace damaged panels with their boron steel welding equipment.

To be honest its probably not financially viable, a undamaged one is worth sub £700, and there looks more than £500-600 of pro body work on that car(assuming there is no structural damge.

I agree, unless its so cheap its almost free I'd not touch it, way too much work if its even repairable. Thats a pretty major impact. Loads of them about so its not like they're rare.

walk away from it looks like it needs to go on a jig and they aint cheap with panels and body work plus a respray with Seamus on this one and yeah malc the top coner and roof look moody aswel (could be the picture tho)

Tbh, I'm more concerned about the bonnet gap, the gap around the passengers head light looks uneven and when you look at the 3/4 shot of the passengers side the bonnet looks to be sitting slightly proud.

This suggests to me that the front has pulled over and the car has been bent like a bannana!!

I'm familiar with these Micra's my Mum had one and the outlaws have one too. Where that's been hit it has certainly undergone structural damage, IIRC between the outer sil skin and the chassis is approx 15mm.
