I don't have a religion on this as I posted earlier in this thread; but if you need to re-visit some previous repair work, you might be glad you seam welded the job. The rear floor of my 1931 Austin Tourer when I bought it in 1978.

Here it is welded up the same year. -didn't have MIG or TIG then so it's all been done with Oxy Acetylene.

This car along with a 1932 Austin was my daily driver till the late '80s.

Then it stood under a tarp outside while I built new garage/workshop facilities. After this storage, it turned out to have had a lot of standing water under the rear seat. So, here it is in 2016.

Just need to cut above the weld line and let in some new metal;should be a much easier job with the MIG -but does stand as a piece of car deja vu.....
