Boc smootharc 180 or Unimig (jasic) razorweld 175?

Hey all,

I'm looking at getting one of these two units. Primary reason that I'm getting a welder it is for car panel repairs. Would welcome any thoughts on these two welders. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum not familiar with either machine, although BOC stuff tends to get decent ratings over the years.

Over 3 years warranty with the Jasic is good, is that from Jasic themselves or from a specific seller? which would make a difference in my opinion.

Welcome aboard. Danobot hasn't been seen on the forum since that last post above, so I doubt you'll get a response. Perhaps someone else 'active' might have a recommendation, we do have a few members in Oz who post regularly.

Go the unimig, that particular boc model seems fraught with issues just looking at customer reviews on it, a mate of mine got the unimig for welding car bodywork and he swears by it (has better customer reviews too)
Unimig seems to be a pretty solid brand here in Oz too with a good reputation as a solid reliable welder.
