Hi.
I have an old boc autolynx mig that will weld up to 3mm. I have been using it for about 6 months now on thin body panels and it has been excellent. However in the last week it has started to have episodes of spattering with the wire actually pushing the torch away from the work piece and not arcing it also gives a very rough weld which is cold on the edges..It did do this about 2 months ago and I found the main cable connection in the torch had come loose which I tightened up and it then worked fine this is still tight and the earth is good.
It would be a great help if anyone had any ideas what else to look for.
