BOC account now online

Is this correct or is it megetting a bit wary nowadays with all the bogus scammers about.

I had am email today from BOC, so it says that they have now gone online with customer accounts.

All i need to do is reply to the email with a `Yes`if my details in the email are correct.

anybody else had this ?

Hi, If you don't trust it, get their phone number off their website and ask them.

I've been able to access my account via their website for quite a while now (at least a year). Your email does sound a bit suspicious, i'd try to access the BOC site directly and login that way.

that will be ano go as since i opened the account i have not been able to get to it online, i spoke to them in the shop and spoke on the phone to them when they messed up muy account and they said just do this and this and it still wouldnt let e in so i gave up. I dont use it anyway so no big deal.

just wondered f i should repie to the email..

i will try and call them again, cant get through.

Be good to just tell them if it is a scam.

you need to check what the link is actually pointing to and not necessarily what it says. also it should be https this will have a certifice that should confirm the identity of the site. if you hover over the link then the actual address it wants to go to will apear as a popup in the bottom of the screen

If you are receiving paper invoices, check to see how much they are charging you for them!

Yes, I got it too. My account is set up to be settled by Direct Debit and I've had invoices abd statements by email since inception. I'll be checking [or watching here before I do anything about the email.

As a slightly fftopic: thing, I noticed my rental charge dropped this month - looks like a I might be getting a discount for being a good boy.......

True, I was paying nearly £500 in rental for my four cylinders until I moved over to the Volkzone deals and returned my Oxy Acetylene.

I just did not reply in the end and deleted it. I have had nothing by mail and all buy email for the last 10 months. Thats why i got a bit wary.

They are good at times but then they do seem to be hard work other times.

I am due to renew the rental in a few months of about £60, cant bloody remember now so that will show more what they are up to with accounts.Hey atleast thye have given me a £28 credit

I'm sure is a genuine mail, I had one too and the url definitely points at the boc website, I wont bother registering, I think that after more years than I can remember with boc I will shortly be changing over to another supplier who has offered a deal at half their prices,
