I have bought a cheap LED 7" light from ebay for a bobber project i am doing
There is a 'halo' ring on the outside of the light which when you apply 12v it lights both sides up orange, i want these to be powered individually to have more vision of indicators to oncoming traffic rather than just the bar end indicators.
So i have heated up the cover, got inside the light and cut the cables from the board and soldered them to i can just apply 12v straight to them.
When i apply 12v to each side, the left comes on perfectly and constant, but the right hand side has a steady flicker.
My question is, is there something in the board that would stop the led from doing this, have i got a faulty LED unit, do i need to add something in to stop it.
Just a bit baffled as the left hand side led works perfectly?
A link to the light i am using to give you an idea-
