Does it need restoring? You should stick on eBay they go for good money@onthames I’m pretty sure I have a brand new E30 Witter tow bar tucked away in the garage. I can dig it out if you are interested.
No, it’s brand new, bought for the E30 touring I had, still boxed & never fitted.Does it need restoring? You should stick on eBay they go for good money

What do you mean sorryThat didn't take long!
Which one worked best?
It would be useful to have tried a normal 2k clear aswell actually. Might try thatJust reread your post.
I thought you used two products, one each side of the part, but I see now you did half with Cerakote and left the other raw alloy.
Apologies, I misunderstood your post.
Very soft. I was hoping I could straighten them out with tweezers but even with the gentlest touch they would break. My radiator man describes a core as having 'gone soft' when it is like that.
They do break. I have to do this a lot with bike rads. I use stanley knife blades in pairs to get on either side of it and press together while bending straight. Some will break whatever you do.Very soft. I was hoping I could straighten them out with tweezers but even with the gentlest touch they would break.
Thanks. These were vapour blasted and clear Cerakoted (MC5100). The disassembly, cleaning, vapor blasting (for ally parts) and sand blasting (for fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator) and sorting out bits for zinc plating takes the better part of day. Cerakoting takes maybe 2 hours (these were clear cerakote so no oven bake) and reassembly takes about half a day. There are quite a few pauses between this: taking the parts to a engine rebuild place to be hot tanked (the intake manifold was full of ****e which is difficult to clean manually), waiting for zinc plater to do his part, and waiting for the vapour blasting company in some cases. I have been vapour blasting most things myself however for this intake manifold I took to a local place as its a bit too large for my cabinet. I'd say about 2 days work, over the span of a week or so. I'm very lucky that the companies I use are close to where I work. The zinc plater is about 1 mile, engine rebuild place is about 2 miles and vapour blasting place about 5 milesThat looks amazing. Is this your usual process of vapour blasting and Cerakote? How long would that take you from start to finish?
