Hi Guys - Does anyone know if there is a wireless camera available that is capable of transmitting live images via bluetooth to an Android enabled phone - I am looking at it from the point of view that we have a new born child and we visit parents and friends quite regurlarly and when the new born falls asleep we would like to put them in another room but also require the abilty to keep an eye on them and the idea of a bluetooth camera which we could take around with us and set it up in the room monitoring the child from our mobile phone - Any ideas - Mark

you can get baby monitors with not only a camera but a 2way walkie talkie radio thing that plays music to send them to sleep and you can hear them too, but with the added advantage of being able to talk to them.

My sister has one i think it was from argos.

Hi Stuvy - Thanks for the reply, I know the ones you mean as our friends have one of those but am still looking at the Bluetooth route as if i can get it to work for the baby i could also double it up for the touring caravan for an aid to reversing - in other words it becomes multi-user/function - Thanks Mark

if there is one i cant imagine the battery on the phone lasting very long
you can get very small wireless systems ideal for what you are after.
if they are available i can see them cost a fair bit

The ones iv seen only send there data to a recorder, when my mate ha his puppy from hell (very similar to marley if you know it) he had a webcam in the kitchen watching the dog when it started chewing he would ring the house phone and shout down the answer phone

The only problem i see is making something that has battery life and the ability to move it around the house and to others

A mate had one connected at home, it has motion dedect and sends a picture to your phone when your on holiday, Might be a good idea to start a House sitting Service without the house sitter, just rent the equipment out when folk are on holiday

You can actually move the camera, zoom and tilt direct from your phone and you can set it up to record direct to your PC's hard drive.
