Blowing 20 amp fuses

When using MIG welder on high,it blows the 20 amp fuse in the fuse box, but not the 13amp fuse in the plug. Any ideas?

what mig welder is it or am i missing something.

blowing the fuse wire?

or tripping the MCB, most household ones are B curve and very sensitive to the spike as you start and stop the 13a fuse cant react in time.

mine says "5A breaker" in the welderinformation however trips a 20a b curve breaker
but quite happy on a 16a C( or is it D...cant remember).

Thanks Sean - sounds as if this could be the problem. Will investigate the 16 amp route.
