I have read that there are (2) kinds.No, I've never seen them, just did a search and they are expensive.
I can see a lot of micro plastics being generated and disposal could be difficult if done properly.
1. made from thermoplast material (able to be remelted)
2. made from thermoset material like bakelite & melamine.
#2 is harder, and maybe reinforced with glass or other fibers.
I have read that the thermoplast kind (I'm thinking of ground up milk bottles)
you can blast a decal off a windshield, and not scratch the glass.
At work, we had a custom machine to blast clean the armature winding slots
during re-building. The material looked like Tide laundry soap, and was supposed
to be recycled many times.....if run at 50 psi.
Our guys cranked it all the way up to supply pressure (100 psi) for a "better job"
and it was a "once thru and to the dust collector" operation, shattered on impact.
They ended up going thru so much, they built a suction venturi to pull it from the drum, and
put it in the machine, as scooping was too hard.....
