I know we've spoken about this before, but more questions.
I had one of these, it worked great, took no space and had some nice features, e.g. it filtered the dust before it went anywhere near the motor, and it had a trap that let you recover some of the accidentally swallowed abrasive. But it's cheaply made, and didn't last long. Got money back.
Next I tried a vacuum cleaner. Worked fine with JBlast but since switching to dustier Alu Oxide it just doesn't cope.
Google says most people are using a snail shaped extractor like this:
Takes up way more space, but at least with Machine Mart you get a better warranty. But are these designed for extracting abrasive dust? Is the motor sealed well enough to stop the abrasive chewing up the internals?
How do I attach to the blast cabinet? I don't think it came with any flange.
I know Clarke stuff is still Far Eastern made but at least it's got a warranty and comebacks under consumer acts (states goods need to last reasonable time upto 5 or 6 years).
The Clarke stuff is usually over priced though, e.g. they sell the same 24 l compressors as SGS, but at almost double the price. Going to see if I can find a cheaper brand that's using the same gear rebranded.
